Founded in the USA as a non-profit trade association in 2003, the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) was established to represent the interest of companies offering employment and tenant background screening services. The European branch, receiving chapter status on the 20th November 2013. The NAPBS strives to promote a high level of ethics and performance standards for the screening industry. The European Chapter represents 24 members in the UK and mainland Europe.
