Businesses across Europe are devising disaster recovery plans to cope with a bird flu outbreak on the human population in order to curb a potential economic impact.
Companies are planning simple measures such as arranging regular hand-washing breaks and ordering protective face masks.
''There are many companies who may not survive a pandemic, and planning needs to start now,'' Guy Otty, managing director of Business Forums International, told Business Week.
