An independent forum for all issues relation to Workplace Drug Testing, the EWDTS was formed in 1998 with two main aims:
To ensure that Workplace Drug Testing in Europe is performed to a defined quality standard and in a legally defensible way
To provide an independent forum for all aspects of workplace drug testing
The EWDTS provides a focal point for the exchange of ideas and information when drug testing is being considered or used within a workplace. Concerns and misunderstandings can be discussed and resolved. European and other regulatory issues can be explored against the background of different cultural and legal expectations. New technical developments can be evaluated in conjunction with the people who have to deal with the practical application of workplace policies. The EWDTS has been instrumental in getting laboratory guidelines accepted by the European Accreditation Agency
