National Pandemic Flu Planning Summit 2009: A Crucial Swine Flu Update for Business & the Public Sector

Date Thursday 12 November 2009
Venue London - Danubius Hotel Regents Park, London NW8 7JT

BFI have been producing pandemic flu summits, seminars, workshops and training courses for private and public sector organisations for the last 4 years.

This summit is an update of the previous four years series, which have illustrated the necessary steps to plan for the expected pandemic. Now that Swine Flu has taken a global hold, the programme has been radically updated to reflect the challenges and experiences of organisations who are dealing with the pandemic today.

Up to the minute medical information from the pre-eminent virologist Professor Hugh Pennington, as well as detailed information directly from the Flu Policy Cell at the Civil Contingincies Secretariat (Cabinet Office) on current government contingency and strategic plans. You will also hear from expert speakers from DHL, Royal Bank of Scotland and the Metropolitan Police.

Crucial areas covered include:

* Stockpiling and distributing antivirals
* Updating and implementing your pandemic policy to reflect the current situation
* Managing absenteeism and trauma in the workplace and quarantine

Like the previous summits, this programme focuses on practical advice delivered by experts and will provide the same solid advice that has helped thousands of organisations plan for and manage their companies through this pandemic.
