EPIC (Ex Police in Commerce) was founded in 1979 by the late Arthur Rees CBE QPM MA DL, formerly Chief Constable of Staffordshire. Membership is open to police officers from Home Office Forces who, on retirement, are engaged in the sphere of security within industry and commerce. EPIC now has 498 members whose ranks when serving ranged form Constable to Chief Constable. Many are self-employed, owning their own companies or providing consultancy services and others are leading practitioners in their fields and employed by major companies.
