GDPR Planning & Preparation Conference for Employers - (4th Edition) - Manchester

Date Thursday 29 June 2017
Venue Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre, Manchester M4 4AF

“The most important change in data privacy law in twenty years”

With our March, April and May's GDPR London Conferences now having sold out, we are happy to confirm that we will be running the 4th Edition of this conference in Manchester on the 29th June 2017.

Despite Brexit results, the UK government has announced that GDPR implementations will go ahead.

As a regulation rather than a directive, it will be directly applicable without additional national legislation. All businesses will be effected by the most important change in data privacy law for twenty years and there is an urgent need for employers and HR professionals to start preparing now.

This event will focus on the impact of GDPR on the HR function, featuring contributions from leading legal experts in data protection and compliance; representatives from the ICO and government; a case study and an expert panel.

Delegates will understand and analyse the implications to their organisations and what their obligations will be, equipping them with the tools to meet the requirement of the GDPR by successfully preparing for the changes.

Why attend this crucial conference?:
• Hear from the ICO about the impact of GDPR on UK HR professionals
• Understand the role of the data protection officer
• Learn how to audit your HR data and the data processes needed
• Ensure your employee contracts are compliant
• Ensure compliance from providers
• Ensure compliance in the event of a data breach
• Listen to a real-life case study
• Take part in a Q&A with an expert panel
